A meandering boardwalk leads you onto a spacious deck where you will find Thunzi’s romantic dome with distinct finishes and so much more… Surrounded by nature, the self-catering dome offers privacy and tranquillity. Whether chilling on the air hammock, enjoying a book, or taking in the views of the wetlands in the wood-fired hot tub, ultimate relaxation is guaranteed!
Thunzi forest lodge and hot tubs has its first-ever dome, consisting of 3 pods – all designed for stargazing! The pods include a bedroom, a self-catering kitchen, and a bathroom.
The hard-covered clear dome is tastefully furnished with comfort in mind. The room has a queen-size bed, the finest linen, towels, black-out curtains, and modern decor finishes. The pods are fitted with air-conditioning to ensure that our guests enjoy unmatched relaxation.
The self-catering kitchen is equipped with a microwave, bar fridge, gas stove, and air fryer. Additionally, we added superior quality guest luxuries and treats like a Nespresso coffee machine, the finest tea selection, hot chocolate with mini marshmallows, mini biscuits, turn-down chocolates, and a variety of bottled water.
Although Thunzi is fully self-catered, we do offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner picnic baskets to order with bespoke, top-quality eats.
Enjoy a unique stargazing experience while soaking in the bathtub in a bathroom designed with relaxation in mind. As mentioned, all pods are interlinked, so there is no need to go outside on those chilly evenings!
An eco-friendly wood-fired hot tub with hot and cold water can be enjoyed during winter or summer with breathtaking views. We have also added a Kamado Jan Ceramic gas braai for guests to appreciate a luxury South African bush braai while watching the sunset.
Turning off all the lights and being mesmerized by the African night skies, one would feel that you are engulfed in the galaxy. Explore the Milky Way with our Celestron Telescope.
Enjoying an early morning coffee while taking in the sounds of singing birds as the sun rises and filters through the treetops is the perfect way to start a new day.
