Hot tub
Tranquillity at it’s finest

We have just added a few exciting new features to guarantee our guests an unforgettable bush experience at Thunzi.

Ultimate Relaxation

Soak up the warmth, pop a bottle of champagne, sit back and relax after a long week.

Sounds fantastic, right?

Wood-fired hot tubs are the epitome of luxury outdoor living. They provide the finest form of relaxation due to the naturally heated water.

We currently have three hot tubs in our Turaco, Nguni, and Kingfisher chalets. Nguni and Kingfisher’s hot tub was designed by Buitengewoon Wood-Fired Hot Tubs. Both these tubs have been placed on an undercover veranda to take advantage of the beautiful views.

A Kolkol Wood-Fired Hot Tub is hidden in the forest next to the Turaco chalet, allowing for a romantic, private and serene location.

Our wood-fired hot tubs are heated up with natural convection heating. Warm water will circulate into the tub without electricity when you light a fire in the submerged snorkel stove. So there’s no need to worry about load shedding interfering with your downtime!

All Year Round Enjoyment

There is good news for those who believe you can only enjoy a hot tub in the winter. These tubs hold cold water all day long and only heat up when you start the wood fire. Heating up can take 1-2 hours, so make sure you start the fire in advance on those chilly winter evenings or leave the water cold on hot summer days.

Either way, the view and champagne can be enjoyed!

Crystal Clear Water

Hygiene is essential; therefore, we have added filter systems to each tub. Rest assured that our hot tubs will be crystal clear when you arrive for your stay at Thunzi.

A Special Touch!

Each guest will receive a hot tub pack with a swimming towel, a gown, a plastic champagne glass, and the rules and instructions for using the hot tub.

Stay tuned to our social channels for information regarding the unique hamper you can buy to add an extra touch of magic to your Thunzi hot tub experience.

Come and relax with a glass of bubbly under the African sky…
